Hours after more than 400 Afghans were killed in a deadly airstrike by the Pakistani military in Kabul on Monday night, Afghanistan men’s cricket team player Naveen-ul-Haq took to Facebook to describe Monday night’s attack by the Pakistani military regime on a drug rehabilitation centre in Kabul as similar to Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

In a post going viral on the internet, Naveen stated that it is hard to find any difference between the Israeli and Pakistani regimes’ periods.

“Hard to find any difference between Israel and Pakistani regime period,” Naveen, who was part of Afghanistan’s 2023 ODI World Cup and 2024 T20 World Cup squads, wrote on the social media site.

It has been reported that more than 400 people lost their lives in Pakistan’s military attack on a drug rehabilitation centre in Kabul.

Apart from Naveen, other Afghanistan players like Rashid Khan, Mohammed Nabi and Azmatullah Omarzai have also slammed Pakistan for killing innocent Afghani citizens.

“I am deeply saddened by the latest reports of civilian casualties as a result of Pakistani airstrikes in Kabul. Targeting civilian homes, educational facilities or medical infrastructure, either intentional or by mistake, is a war crime. The sheer disregard for human lives, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, is sickening and deeply concerning. It will only fuel division and hatred. I call upon the UN and other human rights agencies to thoroughly investigate this latest atrocity and hold the perpetrators to account. I stand with my Afghan people in this difficult time. We shall heal, and we will rise as a nation. We always do. Inshallah !,” Rashid tweeted.

Whereas Omarzai stated that his heart is with every family mourning in Kabul and he pray for justice and peace.

Earlier tonight we heard a powerful explosion here in Kabul. Soon after, flames rose into the sky from a hospital struck in Pakistani airstrikes. In the month of Ramadan, after people had opened their fasts, innocent lives were lost and many others wounded.

My heart is with…

Nabi slammed Pakistan by posting a clip on X and stating, “Tonight in Kabul, hope was extinguished at a hospital. Young men seeking treatment were murdered in a bombing by the Pakistani military regime. Mothers waited at the gates, calling their sons’ names. On the 28th night of Ramadan, their lives were cut short.”
