Son of an earnest truck driver, Ram Awadh, who toiled behind the wheel during wee-hours of the day navigating difficult terrain to provide for his family, Mangesh overcame a galore of difficulties to get where he has.
Mangesh, who started out his career by travelling across MP and UP to play tennis ball tournaments before catching the eyes of Phoolchand Sharma, the head coach of Wonder Cricket Club, who levied the Mangesh’s hostel fees for three years as he began his foray into the set structures of cricket.
Mangesh sparkled at the Madhya Pradesh T20 League in 2025 as he scalped 14 wickets and claimed the Player of the Tournament award. The call-up to MP side for the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy 2025-26 followed and the quick registered three wickets in just a couple of games.
Mangesh was pushed to the limit by RCB’s strategic coach Dinesh Karthik during the IPL trials and impressed the former Indian batter enough with his discipline and skill with the ball to splash the cash on the youngster’s ability.
