How to watch the 2026 F1 Chinese Grand Prix

This is how to watch the Formula 1 2026 Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai, which takes place from 13-15 March.

We’ve also listed the start times for all of this weekend’s F1 sessions below, in both Shanghai time and UK time.

Mercedes made a winning start to F1’s new era to underline its pre-season favourite tag, with George Russell heading home team-mate Andrea Kimi Antonelli for an impressive Silver Arrows one-two.

Ferrari appears to be Mercedes main competitor at this early stage of the season, with McLaren and Red Bull trailing a little further behind.

Last year’s Chinese Grand Prix was won by McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, who beat team-mate Lando Norris.

Meanwhile, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton claimed his first win as a Ferrari driver by dominating the sprint race.

This weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix once again features the sprint race format.

When is the 2026 F1 Chinese GP?

The Chinese Grand Prix runs from 13-15 March.

A single, one-hour practice session will be held on Friday 13 March, before sprint qualifying takes place.

The sprint race is on Saturday 14 March, with regular grand prix qualifying staged later in the day.

The second round of the 2026 F1 season is on Sunday 15 March.

What are the start times for the 2026 F1 Chinese GP?

Friday 13 March:

11:30 (Shanghai) / 03:30 (UK) – Chinese GP Free Practice 1

15:30 (Shanghai) / 07:30 (UK) – Chinese GP Sprint Qualifying

Saturday 14 March:

11:00 (Shanghai) / 03:00 (UK) – Chinese GP Sprint Race

15:00 (Shanghai) / 07:00 (UK) – Chinese GP Qualifying

How to watch the 2026 F1 Chinese GP in the UK?
